Former Shelton Counselor Arrested on Multiple Charges Including Rape

MASON COUNTY, Wash. — A former Shelton High School counselor is facing multiple charges after an investigation into numerous sexual assault allegations led to his arrest.
Mason County Sheriff's Office (MCSO) has been investigating the counselor for two months after a previously missing 15-year-old girl was found a mile away from her home and in the company of said counselor. Deputies interviewed the counselor and the student the evening the girl was found. Police note that their contact was suspicious, but no probable cause could be established to prove a crime occurred.
The Shelton School District immediately placed the counselor on administrative leave after being contacted by the MCSO and he is no longer employed by the district.
More complaints of inappropriate contact by the counselor toward other female students have been reported since the counselor was placed on leave and those complaints are being investigated.
MCSO Detectives continued investigating the case with the Shelton School District and the Shelton Police Department which led to the former counselor’s arrest at his home. He was booked into Mason County Jail on the following charges:
- Rape of a Child 3
- Child Molestation 3
- Sexual Misconduct with a Minor 1
- Delivery of a Controlled Substance
- Possession of Depictions of Minor Engaged in Sexually Explicit Conduct
Anyone with information regarding this case is urged by the MCSO to come forward and file a report so the information can be documented and thoroughly investigated.
